Static

The final album from the Stickers, Static, contains the popular favorites Worn Down, I Hope You Understand and Static (Pop). This album is a sort-of concept album about inaction and apathy pulling from a lot of different genres from lounge beats to spacey sounds to old-timey harmonies.

We finished this album just before I left Madison for Minneapolis and the songs come mostly from seeing my college friends graduate or move on or make something of themselves and the frustration and envy I was feeling. The theme was picked up nicely by Jeff for the middle song, “Hmm,” and culminates, I think, in “Worn Down.”

This album was released on Avagadro Records.
