Who will play the half-time show in 30 years?

Well, the elderly men who used to be the Who were adorable with their 40-year-old songs last night at the Super Bowl half-time show. Afterwards, Steve Lang and I were wondering, “Who will be playing the half-time show in 30 or 40 years from now?”

Seems like the criteria are:

  • Several quickly-recognizable hits
  • A dedicated fan base
  • A generally upbeat catalog
  • Inoffensive music
  • At least half the members still living

My best guess: the Dave Matthews Band
